UniPrimer

UniPrimer is a clear, water-based primer and sealer that enhances adhesion on indoor and outdoor surfaces. This glossy primer is used with many of Liquiguard's protective coatings SolidStepCote, Seal-n-Shine, SealCote and more allowing them to bond on hard to coat surfaces. It's also a solution for surfaces that require more than two coats in order for the coating to bond.

UniPrimer acts as a sealer with built in UV protection that will not crack, peel or yellow; and prevents surfaces from fading and deteriorating. The primer also dries quickly allowing time sensitive projects to finish on time. It can be applied onto porous and hard to coat surfaces such as concrete, masonry, unglazed ceramic tile, glass, vinyl-based flooring, wood, rubber and flooring with grout lines or pre-sealed surfaces.

UniPrimer is an eco-friendly, biodegradable primer, with non-hazardous ingredients that won't produce harmful fumes or odors.

UniPrimer Coverage

Coverage ranges from 400 sq. ft per gallon to 500 sq. ft. per gallon depending on type of surface and surface porosity. 400 sq. ft. per gallon will yield an approximately 4 mil wet, and 1.0 mil dry film thickness.

UniPrimer Application

UniPrimer may be applied by brush, roller (short nap mohair) or low pressure airless spray. Prior to application make sure that the washed surface is allowed to dry at least 24 hours. Do not apply at temperatures below 50°F or above 90°F. Postpone application if rain or heavy dew is imminent. Avoid heavy buildup, puddling, and overlapping of sealer. At 77°F and 50% RH the coating should be dry to the touch in about 20 minutes. This time may vary based on exact prevailing conditions. Allow additional dry time if planning on treading back over UniPrimer to apply another coating.
